Steel Valley's P2YP Project
The TFIM team then broke the Franklin students up into small groups and asked
each of them what they wanted to be when they grew up. They had coloring
book pages full of possible careers and the kindergarten kids chose one they
wanted to color. Once colored, they took foam die-cuts and glued their
career to them to create ornaments. They added glitter and glitter piping
to complete the finishing touches. The ornaments will be used to decorate
the Future is Mine Christmas Tree that is themed "DREAM BIG". This
Christmas tree will stand in the HS lobby and is part of the festival of
trees.
To wrap things up, the SV TFIM members passed out cookies and drinks to the kids. Both the High School students and kindergarten students had a great time!
"I'm not graduating, said senior Tyronne, I'm going to go be a kindergarten student. I had a great time!" "They were all so adorable, it was great working the Kindergarten," said Senior Tandra.
